About me
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a Master’s degree in Molecular Bioengineering from the University of Porto, Portugal.
Throughout my studies, I developed a strong interest in understanding the molecular and cellular changes that contribute to the development and progression of neurodegenerative diseases.
For my PhD project, I am investigating whether the sequence context of RGG motifs has implications for the function (and dysfunction) of RGG-rich proteins associated with pathologies such as ALS and FTLD.
When I’m not in the lab, you can probably find me trying to pet every cat that I see.
