About me
Hello, my name is Sebastian Gruber and I have been working on my PhD at AG Dormann since 01.07.2025. I am from Germany (Koblenz) and studied Bachelor and Master of Education beforehand, but found working in research more interesting than school. That's why I decided to do my PhD.
I am working on deciphering how TDP-43 is recruited to DNA damage sites, whether phase separation is required for this and how this behavior changes when phase separation is disrupted (whether by mutants or PTMs). In addition, I also deal with R-loops and what influence the direct binding of TDP-43 to R-loops has on their resolution.
