About me
I started working as the IRTG coordinator for the SFB1551 in February 2023.
My focus is on managing the graduate program, ensuring early-career researchers engage in interdisciplinary, structured educational programs and extracurricular training opportunities, as well as organizing events with our team.
Earlier I had completed my PhD in Sydney, Australia, in molecular biology focusing on the “Impact of climate change on the allergencity of peanuts”, followed by a postdoc in plant signalling at Gulbenkian Institute of Science in Oeiras, Portugal. There I started coordinating postgrad activities on a voluntary basis, which was intensified during a 6-month course in science management at ATV in Cologne.
I love working in the lab, but my current roll offers more flexibility while still involving problem-solving and creativity— which is awesome!
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, camping, reading, yoga and adventures with my children.
